Important Product Warnings
- This product must be fitted by a qualified mechanic
- Do not use this product following a crash, or if the product is damaged or marked in any way
- Do not attempt to straighten bars if they become bent
- Only fit this product using a calibrated torque wrench
- Do not exceed 18Nm when tightening bar mounts
- Exceeding 18Nm will damage the handlebar, if you exceed 18Nm Renthal recommend you replace the handlebar
- Remove any burrs from contact edge of bar mount before Installation
- It is essential that 36mm diameter bar mounts are used
- Do not damage the handlebar during installation
- After installation ensure steering is not disrupted
- Renthal recommend the maximum torque of 18Nm to an M8 fastener on a bar mount with a width of 25mm
- Do not modify the handlebars
- Do not mark the handlebar. Physical marking of the handlebar will lead to stress raisers which could lead to a fatigue failure
- Do not drill into or modify bars and bar mounts
- Do not install after-market end plugs or handguards that mount using internal expanding end plugs
- Do not remove end plugs
- Do not modify 7/8” or 1-1/8” diameter bar mounts to fit 36mm diameter handlebars
- Do not use the handlebar as a mounting point when transporting the motorcycle
- Failure to comply with the warnings and installation instructions can result in complete product failure
End of Life
Renthal® Fatbar Handlebars are primarily made of aluminium and are easily recyclable at metal recycling centres, often found or collected at municipal waste and recycling facilities. If the handlebar becomes damaged or comes to the end of it's useful life we recommend you recycle the bar using metal recycling facilities.
