Fatbar Unbraced Handlebars

The championship proven Renthal® Fatbar® continues to set the industry standard in an unbraced tapered mx handlebar. The oversized (1-1/8in | 28.6mm) clamping diameter uses computer aided profiling, tapering down to (7/8in | 22.2mm) to accept standard controls. Engineered from Renthal's exclusive 7010 T6 aluminum, specially formulated to reduce vibration and provide superior strength.

The Renthal MX Fatbar provides that signature flex character desired by many top atheltes around the globe and is fitted as OE equipment by Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki.

  • Design

    Fatbar achieves its market leading strength to weight ratio thanks to efficient use of material and computer aided taper wall profiling reducing weight, whilst retaining the strength, durability and flex characteristics of Fatbar.

  • Material

    Fatbar is engineered from an exclusive 7010 T6 aluminium exclusive to Renthal for Handlebars .This alloy is specially formulated to reduce vibration through it's structure. The Fatbar has a shot peened surface texture that increases the fatigue life and durability of the bar.

    Every Fatbar comes with a Renthal injection molded foam bar pad.

  • Manufacture

    Manufactured exclusively within the Renthal Factory. The Fatbar undergoes a 17 Step advanced manufacturing process that sees raw tubing come in and finished handlebars leave.

  • Testing

    Each Renthal handlebar design undergoes a series of intense tests that check for strength, durability, material integrity, surface finish, impact resistance and dimensional accuracy. Working alongside top level race teams provides us with essential feedback for creating the ultimate handlebar.

    Important Product Warnings
    • This product must be fitted by a qualified mechanic
    • Do not use this product following a crash, or if the product is damaged or marked in any way
    • Do not attempt to straighten bars if they become bent
    • Remove any burrs from contact edge of bar mount before Installation
    • It is essential that 1-1/8in(28.6mm) diameter bar mounts are used
    • Do not damage the handlebar during installation
    • After installation ensure steering is not disrupted
    • Do not modify the handlebars
    • Do not mark the handlebar. Physical marking of the handlebar will lead to stress raisers which could lead to a fatigue failure
    • Do not drill into or modify bars and bar mounts
    • Do not install after-market end plugs or handguards that mount using internal expanding end plugs
    • Do not modify 7/8" clamps to fit 1-1/8in (28.6mm) handlebars
    • Do not clean the handlebar with any form of metal polish / concentrated cleaning fluids
    • Do not use the handlebar as a mounting point when transporting the motorcycle
    • Renthal Handlebars are warranted against defects in material and craftsmanship. Normal wear and tear is not warranted, including bending as a result of a crash
    • Failure to comply with the warnings and installation instructions can result in complete product failure

    End of Life
    Renthal® Fatbar Handlebars are primarily made of aluminium and are easily recyclable at metal recycling centres, often found or collected at municipal waste and recycling facilities. If the handlebar becomes damaged or comes to the end of it's useful life we recommend you recycle the bar using metal recycling facilities.
