Why are we replacing Cam 1?

We have received information from our customers that in rare and specific conditions, after fitment, riders may experience difficulty operating the throttle in pre-ride checks. Whether a rider experiences this issue depends on a combination of several variables, including the adjustment of the throttle cable and technique used. Many riders will never experience this issue.
How are the new parts different?

The updated cam features refinements that improve the interface between the throttle cable and throttle housing. These enhancements deliver a more precise fit and smoother operation, resulting in a more consistent throttle feel and improved overall performance on the bike.
How can I identify Cam 1 vs Cam 1A?

You can easily identify the updated cam by the label Cam 1A. The previous version is marked Cam 1.
Which parts are being replaced?

The cam replacement scheme only applies to Cam 1, used in Honda fitments. All other Cams are unaffected by this running change notice and are not covered in the cam replacement scheme.
Are other cams eligible for replacement?

No, only Cam 1 is receiving a running change.
Is the cam replacement free?

This will depend on your geographical location and local delivery partners. We aim to get the replacement cams in the post at latest the next working day after you’ve verified your email, using the verification link.
Are the grips being replaced as part of the cam replacement scheme?

No, the grip is not effect. Just Cam 1 will be replaced with Cam 1A.
