How to fit Renthal® 7/8th inch Handlebars

Fitting a set of Renthal® 7/8in Handlebars is a relatively simple task. Before starting this installation ensure the throttle, brake, clutch and any switches are removed. The Renthal® Twinwall® install video below will give you a good understanding of fitting handlebars, although the mounting diameter is larger on the Twinwall® (1-1/8in vs 7/8" or 28.6mm vs 22.2mm) the task of installing handlebars is the same. You just need to be concious of the difference in mounting diameter.

  • RACE GEOMETRY

Multiple options are available to suit every riders preference - 10,20,30 and 40mm rise in 800mm width and either 31.8mm or 35mm clamping diameter. Plus, there's 50,60 and 70mm rise options, with an 820mm width and 35mm clamping diameter.

  • RACE WINNING

The Renthal Fatbar has already gained cult status, as the aluminum handlebar of choice for World Cup downhill. Eight World Championship gold medals have been won using the Fatbar, cementing it as one of the most successful race products of all time.

  • ALUMINIUM TECH

The Renthal Fatbar is constructed from exclusive, high strength, 7 series aluminium. The material and specific heat treatment processes have been carefully selected to give the ultimate in strength and durability.

  • ULTRA-DURABLE

Millions of tiny steel shot are blasted at high velocity at the Fatbar, leaving a textured surface finish. This shot peening process vastly increases the fatigue life and hence durability of the handlebar.

  • HARD-ANODISED

The Fatbar features a hard anodising surface treatment. This finish is far superior in abrasion resistance to standard anodising, to keep your handlebar looking new.
